Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of DudeShots, operated by MRJ Mark Jarvis, ul. Fabryczna 14d, 53-609 Wrocław, Poland (NIP 7532455176). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

DudeShots lets you frame screenshots in device mockups, style backgrounds, and export images. A Free plan is available with a limited set of presets; a paid Pro plan unlocks the full library. Feature availability per plan is shown on our Pricing page.

URL capture takes a picture of a live website from our servers, so it depends on that site. Pages built around heavy animation or 3D (WebGL) scenes, pages behind a login, cookie wall or bot check, and very slow or very long pages may capture only in part, without their animated elements, or not at all. It’s a convenience, not a guaranteed feature: you can always take a screenshot yourself and upload it instead, and a site that won’t capture isn’t grounds for a refund beyond those in section 5.

One account signs you in to all the apps we run under the Dude name (the same email and password work on each; each app has its own plan). You can use the free plan without an account (presets you save are then kept in your browser only); you need an account to keep presets and watermarks on your account, to join or start a team and to subscribe to Pro. You’re responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create one.

Pro is billed monthly or yearly via Stripe, starting immediately when you subscribe. Your subscription renews automatically each month or each year, as you chose, until you cancel. You can cancel from your account page at any time, and you’ll keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period.

The Pro week. A new account gets Pro free for 7 days, starting the first time it opens the studio, once per account. No payment details are taken and nothing renews: at the end of the 7 days the account goes back to the free plan on its own, and Pro settings on your pictures are switched to free ones. We may change or end the Pro week for new accounts at any time.

Lifetime Pro is a single payment (or a redeemed code, for example from AppSumo) instead of a subscription. It gives one account Pro for the lifetime of the DudeShots product, not the lifetime of the buyer, including new studio features added later. Features that cost us money each time they’re used, such as AI features or an API, aren’t included and may be offered separately. Capturing pages from a link is subject to fair use, to keep the service running for everyone. If DudeShots ever closes, we’ll give lifetime users at least 90 days’ notice and a way to export their presets and watermarks. A refunded payment or code ends Lifetime Pro on that account.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Promotion codes are one per purchase, can’t be exchanged for cash, and may end at any time. If we change the Pro price, we’ll email subscribers at least 30 days before it applies to them; a price change never affects Lifetime Pro you’ve already bought.

14-day refund. If DudeShots isn’t for you, use Withdraw from contract here (linked at the foot of every page) or email hello@dudeshots.com within 14 days of your first Pro payment or your Lifetime Pro payment and we’ll refund it in full, no questions asked. This covers, and goes no less far than, your legal right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5 to 10 working days.

Monthly and yearly Pro after that. Cancel from your account page at any time and you won’t be charged again. Pro stays on until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for; we don’t refund part-used periods, except where the law requires it or something on our side stopped you using Pro.

Lifetime Pro after 14 days isn’t refundable, except where the law requires it. If you buy Lifetime Pro while on monthly Pro, the monthly plan is set to end at the close of the period you’ve already paid for, so you’re never charged for both.

Codes bought on AppSumo are sold by AppSumo, and refunds for them follow AppSumo’s own policy (currently 60 days) and are handled by AppSumo. A refunded code ends Lifetime Pro on the account it was redeemed on.

A refunded payment or a chargeback ends the Pro or Lifetime Pro it paid for. Deleting your account ends any plan on it, including Lifetime Pro, and isn’t itself a reason for a refund.

You own whatever you upload or capture and the mockups you create from it. You grant us only the limited licence needed to process and display that content back to you as part of the service. You’re responsible for having the right to use any image or website content you upload or capture.

You agree not to use DudeShots to:

• Capture or process content you don’t have the right to use
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
• Use the URL-capture feature to scrape or attack third-party sites
• Break any applicable law

The DudeShots name, logo, and the software itself belong to us. The preset templates, gradients, looks, and device frames are provided for use within your exported mockups, and you don’t need attribution to use them.

The service is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be excluded under Polish or EU consumer law.

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Polish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
